First 'GapGun Compatible' certificate is awarded to SPC Vision

Third Dimension, the developer of the innovative laser measurement tool GapGun3™, today released details of the GapGun Compatible programme, awarding the first certificate to Infodream for their ground breaking SPC Vision Embedded package, an enterprise level SPC client which runs directly on GapGun hardware.

The GapGun Compatible certification programme recognises products which not only interoperate with Third Dimension’s GapGun, but where there is also a process for maintaining compatibility through future developments, a strong track record of close collaboration, and mechanisms in place which ensure excellence in customer support.

Head of Operations John Kane explained “The GapGun Compatible programme is designed to make it absolutely clear in customer’s mind which third party products will interoperate most effectively and reliably with the GapGun. Infodream’s SPC Vision Embedded product is a prime example of a product which is designed with compatibility in mind, and where systems are in place to ensure a first class customer experience.”

The European aerospace industry makes extensive use of the GapGun system running SPC Vision Embedded in order to combine the benefits of high speed, high accuracy gap and flush measurements with the enterprise level SPC (Statistical Process Control), and the traceability of SAP.
