Our philosophy is work to live, and Bristol is the place we love to live!
Small and imperfectly formed
Bristol is a bohemian, friendly and creative city, a fantastic place to manageably explore on foot or bike (we are the UK’s first cycling city!). From the independent shops, pubs, cafes and restaurants that span Gloucester Road and North Street stretches, spotting the amazing and always changing street art in the hometown of Banksy, to the buzzing Harbour Side, Clifton Village and Clifton Suspension Bridge; it’s beautiful all year around!
Work, school and play!
Bristol is great place to raise a family. If living in the city centre isn’t for you, especially with little ones, there are plenty of areas to settle down just a bit further out. With many excellent schools to choose from and an array of exciting things to do on the weekend, Bristol is a fantastic place to grow up in. From the interactive science centre @Bristol, the SS Great Britain at the Harbour side to Bristol Zoo or just let them run loose on a summer’s day around The Downs in Clifton – there are lots of activities to keep kids AND parents entertained!
Music is everywhere
Bristol has a fantastic music scene from live acts every night of the week, in venues across the city, to the ‘Ambling band’ who’ll pass you on a summers evening; an infectiously uplifting, pink brass band which will get everyone up dancing and singing around the harbour ‘til 1am on a random school night!
Theatre and comedy
From the Colston Hall to the Tobacco Factory there’s no shortage of things to look out for both traditional and alternative, from national tours to brilliant home grown talent! The Bristol Hippodrome also stages many West End and Broadway shows, which make for a brilliant evening out!
Bristol is a real foodie city
We are particularly proud of the huge range of independent places to eat and drink. Not to be missed is popping to St Nick’s bustling ‘Diagon Alley-eque’ market for lunch on a Saturday afternoon. They also host night markets where the streets come to life with the live music, food and beer stalls.
Festivals and balloons galore
Bristol is the place to be for festivals; whether you want food, music, comedy, street art, balloons, be in Bristol - especially in the summer! One thing you’ll never get tired of seeing are the hot air balloons drifting beautifully over the city, on your way home from work on a summer’s evening.
(We even have a tribute to this in our office, with a giant wall art of Clifton suspension bridge with balloons gliding overhead (taken by brilliant local photographer Alison Zak Collins) on the back wall of our social area – complete with sound system, pool table, games and beer fridge.)
Nature and outdoor sports just a stone’s throw away
Just on our doorstep are some great venues for climbing, as well as parks and countryside to go mountain biking, take the dogs and the kids out for walks and bike rides, or just for some fresh air and a nice piece of cake! From Ashton Court to Leigh Woods, Blaise Castle, Portishead or a short drive to the Mendips, Longleat Safari Park and loads more in the South West.
