Tim, an engineer and entrepreneur, founded Third Dimension in 1995 in order to commercialise the results of his PhD research work in 3d machine vision.
Initially providing consultancy and bespoke developments for leaders in the metrology and aerospace businesses, in 2004 Third Dimension moved into product development and launched the GapGun range of innovative laser based measurement systems.
After spending a four year period building up the company's R&D department as CTO, Tim returned to his former CEO role in 2015 in order to take Third Dimension to the next stage in its growth.
Tim is also Third Dimension's Chairman, and retains a strong interest in corporate responsibility, sustainability and company culture.
When not in the office, he's generally goes rock climbing, and has climbed worldwide, including El Capitan and the Old Man of Hoy. British winters being what they are, Mountain Biking provides a great rainy day alternative.
Jeremy has a background in mathematics and computer science. Since 2002 he has specialised in machine vision equipment, working for several companies developing products for manufacturing industries.
At Third Dimension he leads the teams developing the company’s existing products and future concepts. He also manages the team manufacturing and servicing equipment.
Martin is a Chartered Engineer with a strong record as a technology entrepreneur, broad international experience and a passion for innovation.
Founder of Surface Inspection Ltd (automatic ceramic tile inspection systems) and Stonecube Ltd (dynamic print visualization software). Each invented and developed a world-first product, created and grew the market for the product and established itself as the leader in its field, leading to successful exits.
An active Business Angel investor and Non-Executive Director in other early stage technology companies.
Since qualifying as a Chartered Accountant with BDO in 1990 Mike has worked as Finance Director for a number of high growth technology businesses in the Bristol area and has had his steady hand on the tiller of Third Dimension’s finances since 2002.
As CFO Mike adds significant value to Third Dimension through solid commercial awareness, strong business modelling skills and proactive financial management.
Outside the office Mike can be sometimes be found hanging off the same cliffs as Tim, battling with the mud on his mountain bike or in unsuitable weather, indoors, with his head deep in a fiendish crossword.
