| How does VolScan work?
VolScan laser-scans your
palletized shipment in full 3D using small roof-mounted
units.
Once VolScan has digitized
the full shape of the shipment it automatically calculates
enclosing width, depth, height, volume, and removes any
pallet dimensions. This full 3D process means that gaps,
bulges and out of squares are measured and the true
volume is calculated!

All your dock workers need
see is the simple output of the dimensions - they
communicate with VolScan via a simple touch-screen
interface.
VolScan is a breakthrough
application of precision dimensioning technology. It
provides the capability to simultaneously calculate the
dimensional weight vs. actual weight of a shipment in the
warehouse environment. All measuring is done while the cargo
is weighed, thereby actually speeding up the workflow.
VolScan concisely
dimensions items while hanging unobtrusively from the
ceiling. This provides forklifts and their operators 360
degree access to the work area. If needed, visual evidence
of the actual shape of each shipment can be saved. By
automating the dimming process. VolScan reduces labour
requirements, while virtually eliminating the cost of
error-induced measurements.
The VolScan is quick,
efficient and built tough for heavy industrial applications.
Accurate three dimensional renderings of almost any shipment
are produced in seconds. The system can interface with the
customer’s Management Operating System via standard PC
networking technology. Bar code reading and label printing
are upgradeable features.
