Commercial Project Management Executive
As a Commercial Project Management Executive I support the business from a commercial perspective. My role allows me to engage with our distributors all over the world to cover new business opportunities as well as providing new ideas for improvement. Leading customer projects together with our Sales Engineers to ensure we continue to provide first class service to our customers.
Metrology is essential in so many industries and I enjoy discovering new markets where our products can be used. I find it very rewarding to be a part of a company that strives to achieve continuous technology improvement.
Head of Operations
We are already a world leader in non-contact measurement tools but we have ambitions to continue growing our product range, software platforms and the market sectors we provide solutions to. Our Vectro product is already proven in the field of robotics where we will continue to add to our portfolio of installations and expertise in automated quality inspection. Our rare and recent accreditation as a certified laboratory for non-contact metrology highlights our ongoing commitment to quality and improved capability. Watch this space for our exciting new product updates, software features and online customer support platforms!
There is a huge variety of activities within the operations group from internal product improvement, employee satisfaction and facilities management to customer focused training and installations, product build and testing and order fulfilment. I love this diversity and the wide scope of the operations group allows me to see the full life cycle of our products and customer journeys. The buzz from the team when we really engage with our customers to provide solutions to their quality aspirations is invaluable and very rewarding.
CEO & Chief Sales and Marketing Officer
Third Dimension is a leader in non-contact measurement tools and was the first company to industrialise a solution. Despite a first partnership with Volvo Cars, the Aircraft manufacturers became the early adopters of the technology. Now we deliver this reliable way of measurement within several verticals. Robotics is now showing significant opportunities thanks to Vectro; Third Dimension non-contact laser measurement solution which can be mounted on a robot, cobot, or fixed arm.
Three specialities of Third business teased my interest after my interviews: an international sales activity, highly technical product and humanistic spirit. After two years working for Third Dimension this is still true. We deal with key customers all over the world which brings interest, diversity and challenges. The metrology world is quite challenging and non-contact measurement mix laser vision, software analytics and complex applications. But what is an important driver for me is the human side of the business, and I think that we do our best to respect and live our values and make sure all employees enjoy being part of the team.
Marketing Apprentice
I am a Digital Marketing Apprentice- I support the sales and marketing team by supporting lead generation activity, increasing our input of marketing literature and providing customer insights.
Third Dimension operates within a niche market, which is something I had not experienced before and I wanted to understand how a business in such an industry was run. Upon visiting, I also found it to be a very friendly, interactive environment which I thought would be a great working atmosphere.
Nothing stays the same for too long- there are always new tasks and activities to work on such as exhibitions and campaigns and all of the staff are very supportive and friendly.
Head of 1st Line Support
I like helping people solve their technical problems and like the people I work with.
What do you find the most challenging about your job?
Some of the in-depth metrology concepts are hard to understand, but our more experienced members of staff are always happy to spend time explaining these.
As more products are used across the world, so does the ‘Third Dimension family’. I think our products will eventually be used in a more diverse range of industries and applications, giving us fresh, new challenges to face.
“The best thing about working with Third Dimension is their continuous technology improvements, and their fast communication responses – both commercial and technical”
Territory Sales Engineer – North & South America
My working life at Third Dimension is extremely varied and keeps me on my toes. One day I may start at 5am to have a call with an overseas distributor in Australia, whereas other days I could spend time providing technical support to our customers and distributors in the Americas and Asia.
I really enjoy travelling and within this role I have the opportunity to travel to other countries fairly regularly which is rewarding. Working day-to-day with everyone in the Third Dimension team is also fantastic; it’s a very tight-knit group with a feeling of togetherness.
