Metrology experts, Geo Informatics Consultants and Third Dimension to host series of free webinars on inline inspection

Identifying deviations in production early can save manufacturers time and money. Geo Informatics Consultants have paired up with metrology experts Third Dimension to create a series of webinars tailored to automotive, white goods and consumer electronics sectors. Divided by industry sector, each webinar will explain how manufacturers can integrate both hand-held and automated non-contact precision measurement tools into their production lines simply and efficiently so they can locate deviations in quality in their production lines in real time.

“Often manufacturers don’t realise just how easy it is to seamlessly integrate metrology equipment, such as the GapGun into the production line. Our GapGun with Inline software systems can read xml code, serial numbers and more to identify parts and notify the operator where to measure. This data is automatically transmitted to a central data management system. We wanted to host these free seminars to raise awareness of the technology and support manufacturers,” explains Third Dimension’s Applications Engineer, Callum Williams-York.

The first in the series of free webinars will be hosted on 2 September 2020, schedule as follows:

07:00 – 08:30 GMT (11:30 – 13:00 IST): Automotive Inline Inspection
09:00 – 10:30 GMT (14:30 – 16:00 IST): White Goods and Consumer Electronics Inspection
The webinars will be most relevant to OEMs, Tier 1s and Tier 2s.
